Our team is responsible for the infrastructure and operations of all production systems supporting consumers, developers, and customer account services under the 2K label. With systems and services spanning both on-premise and cloud-based data centers, we ensure the backend stays up and running so players can enjoy an uninterrupted gaming experience. We’re looking for a collaborative and proactive engineer who’s ready to make an impact from Austin and beyond.
Architect and manage container platforms (Kubernetes, Docker, containerd ) across hybrid environments.
Design, implement, and automate deployment pipelines, CI/CD processes, and GitOps workflows for containerized applications.
Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, Ansible, or Pulumi to support container infrastructure.
Optimize Kubernetes clusters for scalability, performance, and security across multiple environments (on-prem and cloud).
Collaborate with SRE, platform, and security team to standardize deployments, automate workflows, and improve platform reliability.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues spanning networking, storage, and orchestration layers.
Champion best practices for container security, image lifecycle management, and resource efficiency.
Proven DevOps Expertise: 5+ years in production DevOps or SRE environments with deep understanding of Linux systems and container orchestration.
Container Platform Specialist: Hands-on experience designing and operating Kubernetes (EKS, GKE, AKS, or self-managed clusters).
Automation-Driven Mindset: Strong background in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible, Pulumi, or similar).
Cloud-Native Proficiency: Experience with one or more public clouds (AWS, GCP, Azure) including managed Kubernetes services.
System-Level Knowledge: Proficiency in OS-level container internals—namespaces, cgroups, storage drivers, and networking.
Collaborative Communicator: Able to clearly convey complex technical concepts and influence cross-functional teams.
Adaptable and Innovative: Comfortable working in a fast-paced, globally distributed environment with a bias for continuous improvement.
Familiarity with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd) and ingress controllers (NGINX, Traefik, HAProxy).
Experience with Github Actions, Kafka, Apache Airflow, Argo, Jenkins, Rancher, Nomad, Packer, and other common ETL, CI/CD and artifact/image management services and tools preferred.
Background in CI/CD systems such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
Knowledge of container runtime security, image scanning, and supply chain hardening.
Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud container operations.
Strong scripting in Python, Bash, or Go for automation and tooling.
