Sun Life US is building out its automation capabilities by expanding the Digital Enablement team to identify, build and support low-code automations using Power Platform. This role will focus on influencing business outcomes for productivity, scale and user experience and be principally responsible for gathering business requirements, guiding solution delivery and supporting business user acceptance testing.

Job Description

  • Process Automation BSA will own the coordination and gathering of business requirements across Sun Life US Group Benefit business operations for the Digital Enablement team
  • Process Automation BSA will conduct needs analysis with Sun Life US business units and collaborate with IT and Operations stakeholders to delivery business outcomes that align with goals & business OKRs
  • Process Automation BSA will need to foster relationships with key business stakeholders to understand business unit operations and evaluate how best to improve information and processing via systems and automation.
  • The role will often require coordination of multiple functional areas of Sun Life US Group Benefits across regional sites/offices and time zones.
  • The analyst will support system design, development and troubleshooting to help develop, launch and maintain effective Automation solutions and Power Platform Low Code solutions specifically
  • The Process Automation BSA will be directly responsible for delivery of user stories in a Ready for DEV state and other supporting documentation as may be required from time to time
  • Process Automation BSA will collaborate with peer Business Analysis and Process Automation personnel
  • Process Automation BSA will coordinate business unit testing for User Acceptance of new solutions and enhancements

Required Skills & Experience

  • Requires 4+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst with a strong emphasis on Automation-based projects, essential for success in this role
  • Requires strong analytical skills with significant experience managing data requirements and related transformation activities
  • Requires strong Interpersonal / relationship building skills with technical and business personnel
  • Strong technical experience or experience gained in Digital Product delivery or Software Development environment
  • Demonstratable experience facilitating requirements interviews and workshops with project stakeholders
  • Requires excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Demonstrable aptitude for Problem Solving and Critical Thinking

Desirable Additional skills

  • Design Thinking skills and experience would be highly desirable
  • BSc/BA degree or equivalent technical level qualification
  • User story management in Jira
  • Experience of Financial Services or other regulated industry
  • Past experience of Visio, Miro and Microsoft Office365
