This position is responsible for supporting the financial management of our Canada entities and our new Catamaran Managed Services Practice . They will assist the Finance and business leaders in overseeing the financial statement, general ledger, financial and client metric analysis, and ad hoc management reports. They will also work with Canada and Catamaran groups (and others as requested) throughout the year to ensure that the actual costs are aligned with the forecasts and the benchmarks. Additionally, this role will assist in processes and coordination necessary for the financial component related to the creation and continued advancement of the Catamaran group.
Essential Duties
Reporting & Analysis duties may include but are not limited to:
Providing financial analysis for the Catamaran and Canada Finance Leader, Business Leaders and the functional leaders and their teams. Analytics will focus on Revenue, rate, FTEs, productivity, etc.
Prepares and/or coordinates ad hoc reports, specialized projects and analysis as requested by leadership.
Develops and provides management reports for the areas that they support.
Provides detailed analytics on variances, revenue and cost drivers.
Leadership duties may include but are not limited to:
Assists the finance leader with data for meetings with the key stakeholders to assist them in effectively managing the financial aspects of the business.
Forecasting & Analysis duties may include but are not limited to:
Assists the finance leader to develop and analyze / review LOB forecasts for the business areas they support
Provides analysis of monthly financial results to leadership including the interpretation of current month and year-to-date performance as a predictive tool for attainment of full year performance expectations and plans to implement course corrections as necessary.
Accounting Operations duties may include but are not limited to:
Works with the LOB and FCS finance on month end accounting for the business groups that they support. This may include but is not limited to the monthly close process, journal entry review and monthly reconciliation activities, as well as reviewing and approving accounts payable entries. All to be completed in a timely manner and in accordance with GAAP and Firm policies and processes
Employee supervisory duties may include but are not limited to:
Provides effective leadership to data analysts by providing work direction. Provide feedback on performance and assists employees with career growth. Provides recognition, coaching and employee counseling.
Minimum Qualifications
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS
5-10 year of relevant experience
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Accounting or Finance major – Strongly Preferred
TECHNICAL SKILLS
Ability to communicate and work effectively with all levels of employees
Ability to build collaborative relationships with individuals that work in other functional areas
Strong knowledge of financial concepts, including P&L and balance Sheet
Ability to work in a large, complex, dynamic organization where a high degree of change exists
Strong communication, prioritization and time management skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and Workday and Adaptive

At RSM, an employee’s pay at any point in their career is intended to reflect their experiences, performance, and skills for their current role. The salary range (or starting rate for interns and associates) for this role represents numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, education, skills, work experience, certifications, location, etc. As such, pay for the successful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
Compensation Range: $100,000 - $171,100Individuals selected for this role will be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on firm and individual performance.
