Summary:
As an Automated Quality Assurance Engineer, a typical day involves validating software systems for financial and trading applications using automated testing tools and frameworks. The role focuses on creating, maintaining, and executing automated test cases to ensure software applications meet functional and technical requirements. The candidate will collaborate with Product Management, Development, and QA teams to support testing activities across the software development lifecycle while ensuring adherence to QA standards, processes, and release management activities.

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Expected to collaborate with cross-functional teams to support testing activities across multiple financial and trading applications.
- Responsible for creating, maintaining, and executing automated test cases and regression scripts based on business requirements.
- Engage with Product Management and Development teams to validate business scenarios and verify implemented functionality.
- Contribute to software issue tracking, reporting, and test activity management throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Participate in project meetings to discuss testing status, issues, and overall QA activities.
- Support release management activities including application version maintenance and version upgrades across environments.
- Follow QA standards, policies, and best practices to ensure high-quality deliverables.
- Provide testing estimates to support accurate project scheduling and planning.
- Translate manual regression test cases into automated VeriFix tests within the defined framework.

Professional & Technical Skills:

- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Automated Testing, VeriFix, and FIX Protocol.
- Strong experience in designing, coding, and maintaining automated test cases within defined automation frameworks.
- Hands-on experience with functional testing, UAT, regression testing, and performance testing.
- In-depth knowledge of FIX Protocol and experience working with financial/trading applications.
- Experience with bug tracking tools such as Jira and Test Case Management tools.
- Ability to analyze testing requirements and create automated test scenarios accordingly.
- Familiarity with software development lifecycle and QA processes in financial systems.
- Experience in translating manual test cases into automated regression suites.
- Knowledge of HP-UFT is an added advantage.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Additional Information:

- The candidate should have minimum 3 years of Quality Assurance experience in complex trading and/or risk management systems within the financial industry.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with VeriFix and FIX Protocol is required.
- Experience in financial market data environments, fixed income, and/or derivatives markets is preferred.
- This position is based at our Pune Magarpatta office, 2 days in a week.
- A 15 years full-time education is required.
