WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT THE JOB:
We are looking for someone that has the creativity and strategic thinking to design a contracting approach for success across multiple product lines, customer bases, and industries. We operate in many different arenas at once, but our contracting philosophies shouldn’t be distinct for each arena. We want someone that has the vision and aptitude to make contracting strategy a comparative advantage for the American Red Cross. The right candidate will be able to design a comprehensive approach to contracting, influence the organization to have the right tools and systems for success, then manage a team to implement the plan and measure its impact. Responsible for the establishment of pricing and contract terms strategy based on individual products, product and service mix and customer segmentation through cross functional collaboration. Partner with Product Management, Sales, Legal, Finance and Supply Chain to fully understand needs and implications of implementing strategies. Provide key guidance to the organization regarding how pricing and contracting can impact and shape the industry as well as provide comparative advantages within the competitive landscape. Provide support, development and/or leadership guidance to all volunteers.
Perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures and other applicable Federal, State and local regulations.
This role is not jumping through hoops and managing paperwork for rigid and complex government contracts.
The work location for this exciting opportunity is virtual. The selected candidate will work 100% remotely from home and can be located anywhere in the United States with a preference to work East Coast hours.
WHERE YOUR CAREER IS A FORCE FOR GOOD (Key Responsibilities):
1. Oversee development and execution of pricing and contracting strategies for Biomedical Services products and offerings using data and trending to drive successful and predictable implementations to achieve marketing and sales objectives. Provide direction and leadership to inspire and empower Sales and other customer facing functions to drive value proposition and business fundamentals into the organizational culture.
2. Partner with Product Management in the development of Products and Services to ensure effective positioning with consistent and appropriate marketing materials and pricing guidance. Evaluate and provide recommendations to targeted marketing materials for Field Sales staff use to promote Red Cross products and services and brand awareness amongst hospital administrators and healthcare executives.
3. Develop controls to effectively review and approve strategy implementation across contracts working with Field Sales. Oversee development and execution of standard contract template based on varied product and service offerings to include standard terms and conditions, pricing framework, contract specification and requirements – elements available for cost structure and the dynamics that underpin options available to sell and monitor compliance. Understand regulatory environment and represent tactics and strategies that are legally responsible and risk mitigating.
4. Develop Customer Logistics value proposition including product delivery, payment terms, discounts/product returns and service level commitments identifying opportunities for revenue growth and cost avoidance. Develop reporting and monitoring to ensure success and progress toward the achievement of product movement goals.
5. Responsible for the management of staff including, but not limited to, hiring, training, coaching, evaluating and disciplining to ensure high performance of a well-qualified team.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED (required/minimum qualifications):
Education: Bachelor’s degree in an analytic discipline such as Finance, Engineering, Economics or related field.
Experience: Minimum 10+ years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
Management Experience: 7 years of management experience.
Skills & Abilities: Ability to analyze, problem solve and clearly communicate observations and recommendations. Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks, delegate, collaborate and follow-up. Ability to handle high level escalations from all levels of management. Must be able to handle multiple priorities effectively, assimilate information quickly, analyze problems and provide appropriate solutions. Ability to work on a team.
Travel: May travel and participate in meetings and conferences throughout Red Cross locations
