Staff Software Engineer, Reporting Platform - Seattle
Why We Have This Role
Qualtrics is seeking Software Engineers to join our Seattle office to reinvent the next generation Dashboard experience using state of the art technology stack and best engineering practices. Person in this role will provide guidance on design and roadmap/vision of the Dashboard organization within the Reporting Platform. The person on the role will not only work on the front end features that power navigation/layouting of the Dashboard but also work on backend services that power the configurations of the dashboard including the storage systems. As we reinvest the next generation Dashboard, this role will have an outsized impact on the performance and experience of Dashboard usage.

Things You’ll Do
- Develop scalable, fast, robust, and rich web-based methods to solve complex business problems using the latest front-end technologies and distributed system concepts
- Implement new features and optimize existing ones to drive maximum performance
- Attend daily stand-up meetings, collaborate with your peers, prioritize features, and work with a sense of urgency to deliver value to your customers
- Drive clarity in business and technical requirements and evolve them into technical designs.
- Work with design and product teams to understand needs, propose features, create early prototypes and transform them into exciting end consumer features.
- Architect efficient and reusable front-end systems that drive complex web applications
- Contribute to the professional development of colleagues, improving their technical knowledge as well as the engineering best practices on your team.
- Have technical impact (including Quality) that spans an Engineering organization’s technology portfolio across multiple teams or depth of impact that significantly advances mission-critical systems.
What We’re Looking For On Your Resume
- 9+ years Travel Management/Procurement experience
- Proficiency in travel and expense-related systems (e.g. Spotnana, Concur)
- Experience with the design and implementation of corporate travel programs or continuous improvement initiatives
- Demonstrated success in complex project management, including stakeholder engagement and change management
- Experience developing and operationalizing global category strategies for airfare, hotels, rental car or ride share programs or other relevant travel categories
- Proven track record of achieving travel category savings via sourcing, demand management and / or policy compliance
- Advanced negotiating skills
- Previous experience in a technology or software company
- Bachelor’s degree a must, MBA, JD or advanced degree in procurement related field a plus

Reporting Platform is responsible for helping customers understand the data they collect with Qualtrics - which is the core reason why customers use Qualtrics. To that end we deliver several customer facing products, SDKs and APIs that provide out of box visualization and reporting capabilities that can be extended to develop use case specific reporting experiences. The team ownership includes: Dashboards, Printed Reports, Results Reports, Reporting SDK, Image/Data exports and more. Vast majority of users experience Qualtrics through reports or dashboards making the Reporting Platform a critical part of our products.
