  • Position Summary:

    The Learning Experience Director is responsible for leading the design, development, and execution of learning strategies that enhance employee skills, leadership capabilities, and overall organizational performance. This role focuses on creating innovative and effective learning experiences across multiple channels, ensuring that training programs are aligned with business goals and foster continuous development. The Learning Experience Director will manage a team of instructional designers, content developers, and learning technologists to deliver top-tier learning experiences.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Learning Strategy & Development

    • Lead the creation and implementation of a comprehensive learning and development strategy aligned with organizational goals and future skill needs.
    • Design learning initiatives that improve employee engagement, performance, and leadership development.
    • Conduct needs analysis to identify skill gaps and design learning programs that address both current and future business challenges.

    Program Design & Innovation

    • Oversee the development of innovative learning experiences, including eLearning, instructor-led training, blended learning, and on-the-job learning.
    • Ensure programs are engaging, learner-centric, and aligned with adult learning principles.
    • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop relevant and impactful training content across various departments.

    Learning Technology & Platforms

    • Manage the integration of digital learning platforms (LMS, LXP) and emerging technologies (AR/VR, AI) into the organization’s learning ecosystem.
    • Ensure the learning technology infrastructure supports scalability, usability, and a seamless learner experience.
    • Stay updated on advancements in learning technology to continuously enhance learning delivery.

    Leadership & Team Management

    • Lead and mentor a team of instructional designers, facilitators, and content developers to ensure high-quality program development and delivery.
    • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the Learning & Development (L&D) team.
    • Provide regular feedback and performance reviews, supporting the professional growth of team members.

    Stakeholder Collaboration

    • Collaborate with senior leadership, department heads, and HR to understand business objectives and align learning initiatives to meet organizational needs.
    • Build partnerships with external vendors, learning consultants, and content providers to augment internal capabilities.
    • Serve as the primary point of contact for learning initiatives and provide regular progress updates to executives and key stakeholders.

    Program Evaluation & Improvement

    • Develop metrics and KPIs to measure the effectiveness of learning programs and their impact on business outcomes (e.g., performance improvement, employee engagement, retention).
    • Conduct regular assessments of learning initiatives, making data-driven decisions to improve content, delivery, and learner satisfaction.
    • Utilize feedback from learners and stakeholders to refine and evolve learning experiences continually.

    Budget & Resource Management

    • Oversee the L&D budget, ensuring optimal resource allocation for training programs, technology, and external partnerships.
    • Ensure cost-effective delivery of learning initiatives while maintaining quality and impact.
    • Monitor program costs and allocate resources effectively to meet strategic learning objectives.

    Required Skills & Qualifications:

    Educational Background:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Instructional Design, Organizational Development, Human Resources, or a related field.
    • Master’s degree in Learning & Development, Education Technology, or Business Management is preferred.

    Experience:

    • Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in Learning & Development or related field, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role.
    • Proven experience in designing and delivering large-scale learning initiatives, leadership development, or organizational transformation programs.
    • Experience in managing teams and collaborating with senior-level stakeholders.

    Technical Skills:

    • Proficient in data analysis to measure the impact of learning programs.

    Leadership & Soft Skills:

    • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team.
    • Strong communication, presentation, and facilitation skills, with the ability to influence and engage senior leadership.
    • Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation in learning.

    • Learner-Centric Design: Deep understanding of creating experiences that prioritize learner engagement and knowledge retention.
    • Strategic Alignment: Ability to align learning initiatives with business goals, ensuring that learning delivers measurable business impact.
