Tarzana Pet Clinic is actively looking for an Experienced Veterinary Technician. The ideal candidate would be compassionate towards our patients, clients, and the team. We are looking for someone with at least two years of experience and a positive and motivating attitude. The ideal candidate would be confident in proper animal handling and restraint, rooming patients, assisting the technicians and veterinarians, helping with surgical recovery, drawing blood, understanding the importance of client education, and being a positive and supportive team player. The hourly pay rate for this position is $21.00 - $30.00, this varies depending on experience, education, certifications, and location.
Requirements
2+ years of prior veterinary experience
Knowledge of industry tools and equipment
Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
Positive team player willing to continue to learn
Excellent communication and organizational skills
Able to handle a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of care
Skilled with Blood draws, Placing IV catheters, Digital radiology including positioning, Dentistry, Anesthesia & Laboratory skills such as ear and fecal cytology; HM5; Vetscan; and Sedivue are (Highly Preferred)
