About the opportunity

The Director, Product Marketing, will define and execute Wavelo's marketing vision and strategy, driving growth and positioning our telco offerings in a competitive and evolving market. In this role, you’ll collaborate with product, sales, and marketing teams to craft compelling stories and impactful campaigns, aligning deliverables with customer needs, market dynamics, and Wavelo’s strategic goals.

You’ll play a critical role in evangelizing Wavelo's solutions externally, strengthening relationships with industry analysts, and leading a high-impact marketing team while scaling the marketing function as the business grows.

Job Duties

Strategic Leadership

  • Define and own the marketing vision and strategy for Wavelo’s telco offerings.
  • Secure executive buy-in and provide regular updates on marketing strategies.
  • Build and lead a cross-functional marketing team with varied skill sets and experience levels.
  • Develop strategic relationships with vendors and suppliers to scale marketing capabilities.

Market Positioning & Campaigns

  • Evangelize Wavelo solutions with industry analysts, press, and media.
  • Drive the creation and delivery of targeted marketing campaigns that engage key accounts and align with sales strategies.
  • Collaborate with product management to align product marketing deliverables with the roadmap.
  • Create high-impact marketing messages and content, including solution collateral, blogs, whitepapers, webinars, case studies, and more.

Customer Insights & Thought Leadership

  • Conduct research to understand market trends, customer needs, and decision-making criteria.
  • Build Wavelo’s reputation through thought leadership at industry events such as MWC and DTW.
  • Strengthen relationships with industry standards bodies (e.g., TMForum, MEF).
  • Support the sales process by developing training materials and responding to RFI/RFPs.

Process and Alignment

  • Ensure all marketing materials and messages are customer-centric and compelling.
  • Partner with sales enablement to support strategic sales goals and develop impactful campaigns.
  • Continuously improve marketing processes, leveraging customer insights and market knowledge.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Exceptional presentation skills and ability to represent Wavelo at industry events.
  • Strong writing and problem-solving skills with comfort working in ambiguous situations.
  • Demonstrated ability to create and deliver compelling marketing materials for the buyer’s journey.

Qualifications Required / Preferred

  • 10+ years in telco software industry in various B2B marketing roles/functions.
  • Demonstrable understanding of OSS/BSS/Cloud space.
  • Experience working with industry standards bodies e.g. TMForum, MEF etc.
  • Existing connections with Telco industry analysts.
  • Experience managing an integrated software marketing function.
  • History of aligning ABM programs with sales strategies.
  • Experience engaging with c-suite executives both internally and externally.
  • Demonstrated ability to build strong working relationships in a hybrid work environment across multiple functions and geographies.
  • High emotional intelligence with the ability to align and motivate individuals with differing points of view/ approaches.

The base salary range for this position is $193,050 - $214,500 USD for US residents OR $180,270 - $200,300 CAD for Canadian residents. Other countries will differ. Range may vary on a number of factors including, but not limited to: location, experience and qualifications.
