INTERN - DATA SCIENTIST

Founded in September 2020, Asia Digital Engineering (ADE) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Capital A Berhad based in KLIA2, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. ADE leverages the AirAsia Group Engineering Department’s best practices and unsurpassed combined experience in the region. ADE offers a range of aircraft services focused on the Airbus A320, A321 & A330 for line maintenance services, component and warehouse services, and engineering support services.

Intern - Data Scientist at ADE supports the data team with a range of tasks, including data collection, analysis, data-pipeline and model development. We believe in the continuous pursuit of making things better and building a team passionate about learning and sharing

What you will do: 

• Develop new data products and improve existing ones by understanding business
  requirements holistically.

• Contribute to creating high-quality datasets through data mining and preprocessing.

• Assist in testing existing data products and pipelines to ensure their accuracy.

• Contribute to the development and implementation of machine learning models.

• Preparation of reports and presentations to share findings with stakeholders.

Your experience and skills:

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or relevant field.

• 0 - 3 years of relevant work experience in data analytics, information technology or software development.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Experience with working on Python, R, or similar programming languages.

• Experience with data mining, data processing and modeling techniques.

• Experience with data workflow tools is a plus.

• Experience with cloud computing services like GCP is a plus.

• Prior experience working in the Aircraft Engineering or MRO industry is a plus.
