DIGITAL MARKETING ASSISTANT ROLE:
Harris Williams’ Marketing Team is seeking a Digital Marketing Assistant to support our digital marketing execution. This is a key role on our in-house Marketing team that serves as the final QA and publishing of email, webpages, organic & paid social media channels. Attention to detail is essential to this role. Be ready for a fast paced, best in class marketing team – you’ll get a hands-on experience across all digital marketing channels and a front row seat to how a performance-driven marketing team sets strategy in support of goals.
KEY DUTIES:
Execute content distribution through paid, owned, and earned media channels
Build, QA, and schedule emails in marketing automation platform
Build event pages and invitations in event marketing platform
QA and publish webpages in content management system
Monitor auto replies from email and form submissions from website (inquiries, subscription request, etc.)
Monitor social media accounts for activity (mentions, comments, likes, followers, shares, etc.)
Troubleshoot martech platform issues; communicate resolution or escalate as appropriate
Updated distribution calendars and schedules to ensure consistent and timely delivery of content
Additional projects as needed to assist the digital marketing team
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, or communications or equivalent experience
Impeccable attention to detail
A genuine curiosity of the data and technology in marketing technology platforms
Highly organized and diligent with the ability to meet deadlines and execute efficiently
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and ability to work well in a deadline-driven environment
Team player, collaborative and able to work effectively with various stakeholders on the marketing team
Familiarity with social media, marketing principles, and marketing technology
Experience with key digital marketing platforms a plus (GA4, Microsoft Dynamics Marketing – or other Marketing Automation, LinkedIn, Cvent)
This is an in-office role in Richmond, VA. Light after hour email usage expected
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field preferred.
Proficient in proofreading with strong attention to detail.
Basic understanding of SEO, SEM, and social media marketing.
Familiarity with digital marketing tools and platforms (Google Analytics, Hootsuite, HubSpot, etc.) a plus.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Creative thinking and a passion for staying ahead of digital marketing trends.
