R&D Lab Platform Technical Lead

Here, you’ll oversee our team of experienced professionals and use cutting-edge enterprise cloud platforms to guide your clients as they modernize their IT infrastructure and meet their most challenging missions. We’re looking for someone like you to direct the deployment, operations, and engineering support of a cutting-edge hybrid cloud or on-prem R&D lab infrastructure and project development in the national security space arena. 

You’ll collaborate closely with fellow cloud architects and engineers specializing in AWS, on-premise hardware, and cross-domain solutions to deploy and operate a hybrid cloud solution at multiple classification levels. You’ll have the chance to broaden your experience using a DevSecOps framework to define and prototype mission applications using products like Kubernetes to advance multi-intelligence systems for defense and intelligence purposes. With access to our internal investments and partnerships with cloud providers and key software vendors, you’ll have the space and time to explore different ways of solving our clients’ problems, and you’ll partner with stakeholders and lead your team to deliver the right technical solutions. You Have:   

• 10+ years of experience working in or with other IC organizations

• 6+ years of experience with Information Technology and engineering within programs or projects of similar size, scope, and complexity

• 4+ years of experience supporting laboratory environments

• Experience in DevSecOps, cloud and database services, or software development 

• Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam

• Bachelor’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field 

   

Nice If You Have:   

• Experience with design, deployment, and operations of hybrid cloud or on-premise environments, preferably using C2S or C2E cloud service providers in the Intelligence Community (IC) 

• Experience with high-performance computing, AI or ML, modeling and simulation for space-based systems, or Cross Domain Solutions 

• TS/SCI clearance with polygraph

• Master’s degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) field

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $84,600.00 to $193,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
