Senior Salesforce eCommerce Cloud Developer

About the Role

PAR is seeking a Senior Salesforce eCommerce Cloud Developer to design, build, and enhance scalable eCommerce solutions supporting our global digital commerce initiatives. This role is highly hands-on, focused on Salesforce Commerce Cloud development, while contributing to solution design, integrations, code quality, and platform optimization in a complex enterprise environment.

You will work cross-functionally with Product, UX, QA, and business stakeholders to deliver high-performing, scalable, and user-friendly commerce experiences. As a key member of the Salesforce team, you will help maximize the value of Salesforce Commerce Cloud while ensuring adherence to platform best practices and architectural standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and deploy Salesforce eCommerce Cloud (SFCC) solutions using SFRA architecture

  • Build and customize eCommerce features including:

    • Product catalogs, pricing, promotions, and search

    • Cart, checkout, and order management flows

    • Customer accounts and authentication

  • Develop scalable, reusable components following Commerce Cloud best practices

  • Implement integrations with external systems such as:

    • Payment gateways

    • Tax and shipping providers

    • OMS, ERP, CRM, and third-party services

  • Develop and support integrations using REST APIs, web services, and event-driven patterns

  • Optimize site performance, scalability, security, and reliability

  • Configure and manage Commerce Cloud features including:

    • Site preferences

    • Content assets

    • Catalogs and inventories

    • Promotions and campaigns

  • Write clean, efficient, testable code aligned with PAR standards and Salesforce best practices

  • Develop and maintain unit and integration tests

  • Perform code reviews and mentor junior developers

  • Support data migration and synchronization for product, customer, and order data

  • Collaborate closely with UX and business teams to translate requirements into technical solutions

  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies (sprint planning, backlog grooming, retrospectives)

  • Support DevOps and release management including deployment pipelines and production releases

  • Participate in release planning, deployments, and post-release support

  • Perform proactive system maintenance, monitoring, and optimization

Required Skills & Experience

  • Strong hands-on experience with Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC / B2C Commerce)

  • Experience with:

    • SFRA architecture

    • JavaScript, ISML, HTML, CSS

    • Controllers, pipelines (legacy), and hooks

  • Strong problem-solving skills with experience delivering enterprise-scale eCommerce solutions

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Salesforce Commerce Cloud Developer or Architect certification

  • Experience integrating Commerce Cloud with Sales Cloud and/or Service Cloud

  • Experience with headless commerce or API-first architectures

  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and Git

  • Experience working in large, distributed enterprise environments

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Order Management (OMS)

  • Experience with Einstein Commerce features

  • Exposure to Composable Commerce or multi-site / multi-brand implementations

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or technology (or equivalent practical experience)

  • Salesforce certification preferred; flexibility based on overall experience
