Director - Quality & Patient Safety – Brooklyn

The Director of Quality Patient Safety is responsible for ongoing development of quality and safety improvement programs, overseeing implementation of strategies to improve health care delivery processes, regulatory activities, and other quality and patient safety initiatives. The Director will work directly with the hospital’s VP for Quality and Patient Safety in the development of process improvement strategies, training, and capacity building across the hospital. In addition, the Director will have supervisory responsibilities, advising and guiding the work of individual teams, identifying and coordinating strategies across campuses, and providing overall management of staff.

This position is Monday-Friday, days, and is expected to be primarily based out of our Brooklyn office, but travel may be required to any of the locations within our enterprise. There may be more frequent travel specifically to our corporate office space in Midtown for larger departmental meetings and events.

Preferred Criteria:

  • Master's degree
  • Clinical experience
  • Clinical licensure (RN, PA, NP, MD, Nurse Midwife, RD, PT/OT, or PharmD)
  • 3+ years Project Management experience; ability to plan and lead project, facilitate project scope, develop project plans, manage timelines and provide direction and support to project team

Required Criteria:

  • Bachelor's degree
  • 7+ years of experience in a healthcare related position, preferably in Quality and Performance Improvement 
  • Demonstrated competence in leadership and management and team building
  • Experience leading quality improvement and process improvement work in hospital/healthcare settings
  • Knowledge of quality and patient safety, infection prevention and control, regulatory requirements, and statistical and research methods

Please note that all roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.

NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.

$179,500-$247,000/Annual
