The Senior Director, Field Access will lead a national and regional field-based team responsible for securing optimal access and reimbursement across payer segments. This role will drive strategic engagement with national and regional payers, PBMs, and government entities, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and product value propositions.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage a high-performing market access field team across the U.S.
Develop and execute access strategies for:
National/regional payers
PBMs
Medicare/Medicaid
Federal Accounts (eg VA/DOD)
Build and maintain strategic relationships with healthcare systems and organized customers
Oversee contract negotiations, pull-through strategies, and formulary positioning
Collaborate cross-functionally with Commercial, Medical Affairs, HEOR, Legal, and Trade teams
Partner with Sales and Access Strategy teams to align messaging and tactics that drive brand uptake
Monitor policy trends and payer dynamics to inform strategic planning
Represent the company at industry forums and payer advisory boards

Skills and Competencies
Deep understanding of payer landscape, reimbursement models, and healthcare policy
ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence senior stakeholders
Experience with launch planning and lifecycle management
Strong negotiation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Proven leadership of national field teams and strategic account management
Previous experience as a payer, PBM, or health systems account director/executive
Experience with pharmacy reimbursement, specialty products, and competitive mass markets
Education and Experience
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree
15 years of pharmaceutical, medical technology, or medical device industry experience
10 years in Market Access or Managed Markets
Preferred
MBA or advanced degree

Compensation & Benefits: For U.S.-based positions only, the annual base salary range for this role is $221,300.00 - $331,925.00 This position may also be eligible for incentive compensation.
