Walmart Connect is seeking a Data Scientist for Shared Services. Reporting to a Lead Data Scientist responsible for streamlining analytics, reporting, and insights support, you will bring the analytical rigor, responsiveness, and creativity required to support WMC’s market leading advertising measurement and insights. As an individual contributor, you will create market facing insights to help advertisers understand media performance, optimize media strategy, and generate incremental investment. At this level, you will be expected to mentor and guide your more junior counterparts while exhibiting leadership skills

The individual needs to be analytical and solution-driven with the ability to partner with the larger Strategic Insights & Media Analytics team as well as the Sales & Client Service teams to effectively communicate complex media and measurement insights internally and externally. You will play a critical role in analyzing customer behavior, measurement, and performance data across various channels. You will be responsible for leveraging data-driven insights to analyze client retail media strategy and drive value from long-term investment with Walmart Connect as a trusted strategic consultant and partner for our advertising partners.

What you'll do...

•    Exploratory Data Analysis: Design and implement advanced machine learning models that solve complex business problems and drive measurable results.
•    Data Automation and Quality Management: Establish best practices for dashboard development, data automation, and quality assurance
•    Data Visualization: Architect enterprise-wide reporting solutions that scale across multiple business units.
•    Strategic Insight Development: Provide strategic insights and recommendations while managing multiple analytics projects and ensure timely and efficient delivery.
•    Cross-functional Partnerships: Collaborate with cross-functional teams (internal teams, sales, marketing, product, and data engineering) to align insights solutions with overall business objectives.
•    Technical Innovation and Process Improvement: Drive innovation in analytics by implementing new solutions, streamlining processes, and ensuring alignment with industry best practices.
•    Demonstrate Leadership Qualities: Provide mentorship and performance management for team members, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.

Core Competencies:
Data analysis tools (SQL, Python, R), data visualization platforms (Tableau, Power BI), measurement frameworks (media mix modeling, attribution analysis, lift studies), machine learning (applying supervised & unsupervised algorithms), statistical methods (hypothesis testing, regression analysis, Bayesian inference), retail media expertise (campaign measurement, ad inventory optimization, audience targeting strategies), understanding of digital advertising ecosystems (programmatic buying, walled gardens, consumer insights. The annual salary range for this position is $108,000.00 - $216,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :

Option 2: Masters degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field. Option 3: 4 years' experience in an analytics or related field.
