Job Description
Digital and Medical Modernization Lead, reports to the Country Medical Director.
This role operationalizes the V&I digital data and innovation and the Medical Modernization (MM) strategy locally across applicable therapeutic areas and drives digital scientific engagement for all Therapeutic Areas (TA) in Israel. This highly cross-functional role works closely with local and global Medical Affairs, as well as Digital, Data & IT, CRM/Data Analytics, Legal and Compliance stakeholders, to support the Medical Affairs team’s digital transformation and embed digitalization into current ways of working and future strategic development. The role is primarily responsible for identifying, developing and implementing foundational digital and data analytics capabilities that translate into an innovative, efficient and competitive Medical Affairs organization. The Lead builds and engages the TA-specific digital Scientific Leader (SL) roster in close alignment with the Country Medical Advisors of that TA, executes data-driven, omnichannel scientific engagement projects, and measures impact using Veeva CRM/VVMC and analytics dashboards in collaboration with the Medical Modernization Center of Excellence. The Digital Lead adapts global/regional scientific content for local use in compliance with policy and SOPs, decides with the Country Medical Director and Medical Advisors where to use the content, enables country medical teams to transition to omnichannel engagement of priority SLs/KDMs, provides guidance and support to help local medical team to master required capabilities, and feeds insights and results to inform scaling decisions.
At a country level, the Digital Lead partners with the local Medical Affairs Team working closely under the CMD sponsorship, Digital and IT teams (COD), Commercial Business Unit colleagues, and legal/compliance experts to ensure successful execution of the planned activities.
The Digital Lead will build a bidirectional communication between the region and cluster/country, share and scale best practices, and modernize the way medical affairs teams work in your country and in the region.
The Digital Lead function is critical in our change management efforts by communicating and supporting new ways of working, and inspiring others to adopt innovative ways of working as we shape and transform our V&I engagement strategy, drive MM efforts and transformational change within medical affairs, fostering a culture of continuous improvement to achieve long term success.
