Summary:
We are looking for an experienced SAP QM Consultant to support a large-scale Greenfield S/4HANA transformation program in the Build phase. The role focuses on configuring and delivering standardized Quality Management processes, ensuring strong integration with manufacturing, and enabling a unified quality inspection platform (e.g., LabWare integration).
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to be an SME, collaborate and manage the team to perform.
- Responsible for team decisions.
- Engage with multiple teams and contribute on key decisions.
- Expected to provide solutions to problems that apply across multiple teams.
- Lead the coordination of project activities to ensure timely delivery and alignment with business goals.
- Mentor junior team members to support their professional growth and enhance team capabilities.
- Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders to promote clear understanding of project objectives.
. Build & Configuration
Configure SAP S/4HANA QM processes based on approved Detailed Design / Business Blueprint
Set up core QM functionalities including:
o Inspection Planning (Inspection Plans, Master Inspection Characteristics, Sampling Procedures)
o Inspection Types (e.g., Goods Receipt, In-process, Final Inspection)
o Quality Notifications and Defect Management
o Results Recording and Usage Decision
o Quality Certificates
Align solution with fit-to-standard principles and global template design
Integration with Manufacturing & Quality Systems
Ensure seamless integration with:
o PP / PP-PI (Production & Process Orders, In-process inspections)
o MM (Goods Receipt inspections, vendor quality)
o EWM (quality stock handling, inspection lot movement)
Lead integration with external systems:
o LIMS (e.g., LabWare) for lab-based quality inspection execution
o MES for in-process quality data capture
Define inspection data flow between SAP and external systems
Development & Enhancements
Collaborate with technical teams on RICEFW objects (Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms)
Prepare functional specifications for:
o QM-LIMS interfaces
o Batch record / inspection result integrations
Support digital quality processes such as electronic batch record (EBR) where applicable
Testing & Defect Management
Prepare and execute:
o Unit Testing
o String Testing
o End-to-End Integration Testing
Develop test scripts for inspection scenarios (GR, in-process, final)
Analyze and resolve defects, ensuring minimal impact on integrated processes
Support business during UAT cycles
Data Migration & Governance
Support migration of QM master data:
o Inspection plans, MICs, sampling procedures
o Quality info records
Validate data loads and ensure alignment with data governance standards
Contribute to establishing data quality rules and governance for QM objects
Documentation & Compliance
Maintain configuration and functional design documentation
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (especially for chemical/pharma industries)
Support audit readiness and traceability requirements
Stakeholder Collaboration
Work closely with Quality SMEs, manufacturing teams, and IT stakeholders
Support workshops, clarifications, and design validations during build
Provide updates on progress, risks, and integration dependencies
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in SAP Quality Management (QM).
- Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle and quality assurance processes related to SAP Quality Management.
- Experience in integrating SAP Quality Management modules with other enterprise systems.
- Ability to analyze complex business requirements and translate them into effective software solutions within SAP QM.
- Familiarity with debugging, testing, and troubleshooting SAP Quality Management applications to ensure optimal performance.
- Skilled in collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement enhancements and resolve issues in SAP Quality Management.
- 5–10+ years of SAP QM experience, including at least one S/4HANA implementation (Greenfield preferred)
- Strong expertise in:
- Inspection processes (GR, in-process, final)
- Quality notifications and defect management
- Results recording and batch-related quality processes
- Hands-on experience with QM integration to PP, MM, and EWM
- Experience integrating SAP QM with LIMS systems (e.g., LabWare)
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 12 years of experience in SAP Quality Management (QM).
- This position is based at our Bengaluru office.
- A 15 years full time education is required.
