Travel and Expense Accountant

This person is accountable to perform entry to near staff level Travel Accounting functions within the Finance Shared Services departments that support business processes and provide experience with Caterpillar accounting practices.

What will be your main tasks/responsibilities?

• Processing of Expense Reports and other documents (invoices, credit cards etc.) in accordance with internal policies and guidelines
• Payment preparation
• Support month end closing activities 
• Master data Administration within the different systems 
• Prepare basic reports 
• Participation in projects
• May Require: support for credit card administration and GL account reconciliations
• Other ad-hoc tasks

What do we expect from a suitable candidate?

• High school diploma required.
• Strong empathetic customer‑experience approach, with the ability to communicate compassionately and effectively with employees.
• Accounting coursework preferred; a minimum of 1 year of experience in a finance‑related role is an advantage.
• Audit‑related experience, with the capability to identify anomalies and irregularities quickly.
• Fluency in English is mandatory; additional languages such as Spanish, Mandarin, or Italian are highly beneficial for communicating with employees across regions.
• Must demonstrate initiative, leadership, and strong communication skills
