Job Description:

Job Title: Business Analyst (Mid-Level)

Department: Product

Sub-Department: Product Engineering

Job Description: As a mid-level Business Analyst, you will play a crucial role in our product development process. Your primary responsibilities will involve analyzing business operations, identifying opportunities, and ensuring alignment with our product vision. Here are the key aspects of the role:

Requirements Gathering and Documentation:

  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and requirements.
  • Document these requirements using various tools such as Miro, Balsamiq, Jira and Confluence.
  • Be comfortable using diagramming or wireframing tools to visualize solutions.
  • Must have a strong ability to think logically and find strategic solutions to discovered problems.

Communication and Collaboration:

  • Interface with both Support and Development teams to understand user issues.
  • Solutionize problems and document solutions.
  • Communicate these solutions effectively to the development team.
  • Ensure process compliance and escalate deviations at the right time so that corrective actions can be taken. 
  • Help keep work on track and within timelines by regularly reviewing progress on current initiatives.

Agile Meetings and Prioritization:

  • Create work items and tickets required and work with the PO to review them and prioritize them for development.
  • Drive Agile meetings such as Product Backlog Refinement (PBRs).
  • Organize prioritization calls with stakeholders regularly.

User Acceptance Testing (UAT), Demos and Production Releases:

  • Perform UAT to validate that the developed features meet requirements.
  • Provide feedback and approve production releases.
  • Conduct Product demos to stakeholders or clients and gather feedback

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Familiarity with Jira and its features is a plus.
  • Be prepared to work on multiple parallel initiatives at varying levels of priority.
  • Be flexible to take up additional responsibilities as needed.
  • Be a self-driven individual and work with no supervision or managerial oversight. 
  • Always work towards ways to improve yourself and your team.
  • Demonstrate your capabilities by going the extra mile.

Qualifications:

  • 3-6 years of relevant experience in a product development environment.
  • Technical background in Computer Science or IT.
  • Experience working with diagramming/wireframing tools such as Figma, Balsamiq, Miro etc.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Flexibility to work overlapping shifts between the US and India.
  • Willingness to commute to our office in Chennai daily.
