Job Description

This is a contractor position with a duration of 2 years.

Role Purpose

Perform logistics activities related to supply chain services, inventory control, critical parts availability, material handling, import-export licensing, shipment of products, and third-party warehousing operation support. Evaluate customer support and field service commitments to ensure customer requirements are met.

Support overall logistics operations including import/export customs clearance, international trade related opportunities, issue resolution upon global supply chain maintenance, sites for both Domestic and International Shipments.

Reporting Line

You will report to Logistics Manager, Korea/Japan & North Asia Transportation Manager.

Responsibilities

Import/Export/Transportation:

• Coordinate import/export document submission and KC registration for specific requirement from BU or Customs.
• Coordinate spot transportation activities with functional groups, to acquire transportation services in a cost-effective manner, based on specific needs following the premium freight policy.
• Support transportation related new functionalities and new systems implementations.

Logistics reports:

• Manage and complete daily, weekly and monthly logistics related metrics for the plants, according to regional and global standards, providing analysis for strategic improvements.

Supplier Management:

• Establish a "win-win" local relationship between our company and carriers/forwarders.
• Ensure suppliers scorecard date is updated before business reviews.
• Support suppliers' evaluation based on capacity, service, and cost.

The Essentials - You Will Have :

• Bachelor's degree.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in import/export handling and international trade/transportation.
• Knowledge in trade compliance.
• SAP Experience.
• Familiar or subject matter expert with importing and exporting both ocean and heavy air freight.
• Familiarity in working with a multi carrier/freight forwarder environment.
• Legal authorization to work in Korea is required.
