Position Summary...

What you'll do...

The Sr Data Analyst will provide and support the implementation of business solutions by building relationships, identifying business needs, and carrying out processes and practices.  The role is in Bentonville, Arkansas (and is not open to remote candidates)
 

What you’ll do….

Data Collection and Analysis:

  • Address business problems by understanding the data source’s location, integrate the data, perform subsequent analysis using SQL, Python and subsequently visualize the findings on a Tableau dashboard.
  • Monitor the dashboard daily and flag any outliers that the data represents.
  • Conduct exploratory analysis and inform team and counterparts of the findings. 

Business Partnerships:

  • Prepare first draft of executive presentations to communicate strategic recommendations to management based on research and data analysis.
  • Review the findings based on the feedback received from partners and provide a insights based on the audience

Model Development:

  • Build and manage parts of algorithmic products/models and ensure segment aligns with overall product goals after verification with the existing tools.
  • Use the existing Walmart tools to verify the findings and run the simulations to test the thesis.
  • Formulate technical problems and solutions for data-related challenges.  
  • Develop and implement algorithms for data analysis and modeling.

Data Quality Management:  

  • Plan and lead efforts to ensure data quality and integrity.  
  • Develop and implement data governance policies and procedures.  
  • Monitor data quality metrics and proactively identify and address issues.

Proof of Concept and Prototype:

  • Generate new ideas as an output of research, apply knowledge to come up with new information, and contribute to proof-of-concepts for projects.

Project Scope:

  •  Own small projects end-to-end to support the business area or category, and own a defined part of a product, ensure the product is working and functioning, and identify new information to feed back-up to product owner.

Technical Skillsets – Python, SQL, GCP, Tableau and Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Python, SQL, GCP and Tableau expertise
  • Product / Tool rollout across multiple orgs
  • Desire to learn Walmart’s transportation business.
  • Presentation and Verbal communication skills
  • Previous Supply Chain and Transportation experience

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Data Science, Computer Science, Analytics, Statistics or relevant field with 4 years of experience in analytics related field or Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Data Science, Computer Science, Analytics, Statistics or relevant field with 2 years of experience in analytics related.
  • Six Sigma Certification (Green, Black) a plus

The annual salary range for this position is $80,000.00-$155,000.00
