The Project/Program Management Senior Lead is a strategic professional who closely follows latest trends in own field and adapts them for application within own job and the business. Excellent communication skills required in order to negotiate internally, often at a senior level. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas . Accountable for significant direct business results or authoritative advice regarding the operations of the business. Necessitates a degree of responsibility over technical strategy. Primarily affects a sub-function. Provide Project Management across projects and initiatives across the Data Program in support of the global direction and best in class quality management and controls across regions and lines of businesses to ensure data is fit-for- purpose. This role is accountable for project management of data related projects and initiatives that are focused on ensuring compliance with Citi’s Data Management Policy, which is highly visible to key regulators such as the OCC, Federal Reserve Board and NY Fed.

This is a highly visible role that will require superior project management skills, deep business knowledge, broad connections across all businesses as needed, excellent verbal and written communication skills, and regulatory knowledge. Executive level communication will be required. Candidates must have experience in complex problem solving, working across multiple businesses and geographies (international), documenting corrective action plans, designing controls and key risk indicators, and writing procedures and charters.



Responsibilities:

  • Project Manage data related initiatives across the Data Program, Provide project management support to Data Program managers and ensure that detailed, tracked, monitored, and measured project plans are in place in support of the timely delivery of Data Management projects
  • Ensure that Project Management principles are maintained, delivered, and applied across the data management projects and initiatives in compliance with corporate policy and best-practice standards
  • Drive process standardization with consistent measures of progress, quality, benefits across all CDO Data projects.
  • Ensure rigor in planning with regards and not limited to resourcing, testing, budget, critical path identification and risks
  • While the focus will be on managing CDO projects, timelines, etc., this role will also be leveraged to manage projects across the Data Program when required.
  • Improve timeliness in decision making across teams and escalate potential roadblocks, including developing a forward-looking view of critical interdependencies and critical risks, identifying mitigation actions and identifying issues to escalate for Senior Management decision making.
  • Identify and drive resolution of issues, including those outside established programs of work.
  • Improve our interaction model and provide greater clarity and accountability between project teams
  • Experience in Scrum, Test Driven Development and waterfall methodologies.
  • Execution/Delivery experience of large transformation programs
  • Coordinate as needed PM related regulatory inquiries and provide guidance during internal/external audits.
  • Lead on-demand project reviews and post-mortems.
  • Enforce program and project management governance guidelines and follow up on exceptions. 
  • Establish clear escalation paths to raise Program Management concerns to Senior Management team as appropriate
  • Supports planning, directing and coordination of day-to-day activities of running a program or portfolio of programs.
  • Ensures creation and signoff of project plan and charter, benefits management plan, stakeholder management plan, acceptance plan, and central program issue log.
  • Ensures project plans meet business needs as described in the project initiation documents.
  • Ensures all stakeholders are identified and included in scope definition activities.
  • Ensures stakeholders understand the project schedule and key milestones.
  • Ensures project stakeholders receive schedule status regularly.
  • Ensures funding has been approved for the program.
  • Ensures project commitment from those assigning resources.
  • Escalates project risks to the Project Director, or Project Sponsor, when appropriate.
  • Leads the identification and drive resolution of issues, including those outside established programs of work.
  • Works with stakeholders to ensure program scope definition meets business objectives.
  • Works with Program Sponsor to ensure business case/cost benefit analysis is in line with business objectives.
  • Drives adherence to program processes, procedures, methods, and standards for program delivery and leverage across the program.
  • Assists program team in negotiating for resources owned by other departments in order ensure the program can be completed.
  • Directs the communication of status, issue, and risk disposition to all stakeholders, including senior management, on a timely basis.
  • Directs the identification of risks which impact program delivery and ensure mitigation strategies are developed and executed when necessary.
  • Manages multiple teams or a functional area (depending on size of business).
  • Applies comprehensive understanding of concepts and procedures within own area and basic knowledge of other areas to resolve issues that have impact beyond own area.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience
  • Should demonstrate a commitment to quality and attention to detail
  • Excellent interpersonal relationships with ability to influence and negotiate with stakeholders
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Prior experience managing Data Governance and Data related initiative a plus.
  • Prior success working in a large, highly-matrix and complex organization; able to set priorities and 'triage' in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Education:

  • Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience, potentially Masters degree

Primary Location Full Time Salary Range:

$130,880.00 - $196,320.00
