About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Business Execution Consultant within Global Operations Business Communications, reporting to the Senior Manager of Business Communications. This role is responsible for shaping, elevating, and executing strategic internal and executive communication strategies that drive engagement, alignment, and clarity across the Global Operations organization. The consultant will serve as a trusted communications advisor, partnering closely with senior leaders and cross‑functional stakeholders to deliver communications counsel and content.
As part of the Global Operations Business Communications team, this position supports enterprise priorities, including operational excellence, transformation, and organizational change. The role plays a key part in fostering a strong culture and ensuring employees are informed, aligned, and connected to business objectives, while protecting and enhancing Wells Fargo’s reputation.
In this role, you will:
Serve as a trusted advisor and strategic counselor to more experienced management
Develop and implement communications strategies to promote and protect Wells Fargo’s reputation
Advise more experienced management on communications strategy to drive business priorities
Partner with other Communications teams to ensure alignment of communications strategies and messaging
Drive accountability for assigned initiatives, limit risk exposure, and create efficiencies as appropriate
Review strategic approaches and effectiveness of support function and business performance
Perform assessments through fact finding and data requiring creative approaches to solving complex issues, and develop appropriate solutions or recommendations
Make decisions in highly complex and multifaceted situations requiring solid understanding of business group's functional area or products, facilitate decision making and issue resolution, and support implementation of developed solutions and plans
Collaborate and consult with members of the Business Communications team and team leaders to drive strategic initiatives
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
5+ years of Public Relations, Media Relations or Corporate Communications experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
Strategic risk communication experience, including issue escalation, executive messaging, and decision-support communications
Expertise in shaping risk narratives that support informed decision-making and regulatory readiness
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail
Experience supporting large, matrixed organizations and senior leaders
5+ years of experience in internal communications, corporate communications, employee engagement, or change communications
Proven ability to translate complex, technical, or operational information into clear, compelling employee-facing messaging
