Summary of Job Duties:

The Department of Audiology and Speech Pathology in the College of Health Professions at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences (UAMS) seeks a faculty member in speech-language pathology at the rank of assistant professor. This part-time, 9-month clinical faculty position will serve as a clinical educator in the Master of Science in Communication Sciences & Disorders program. Days and times are various during the fall and spring semesters. The program seeks applicants who are team-oriented and possess a strong interest in educating graduate students in our CAA accredited program in Speech-Language Pathology. This opportunity is an in-person position located in Little Rock, Arkansas.

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in speech-language pathology Holds ASHA’s CCC-SLP (minimum of 3 years) SLP licensure in the state of Arkansas 3+ years of experience in the field of speech-language pathology

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in pediatric clinical practice Expertise in one or more of the following areas: early intervention, autism spectrum disorders, childhood apraxia of speech, and multilingual assessment/intervention Bilingual (Spanish Preferred) Prior university teaching and/or student supervision 5+ years of experience in the field of speech-language pathology
