Summary

KBR Advisory & Consulting is seeking a Senior Manager, Advisory & Consulting to work as part of the KBR Advisory & Consulting team. The candidate will have primary responsibility for the delivery of studies from concept through to Pre-Feed as well as supporting Transaction Advisory services (technical and operational due diligence). He/she will support the group’s overall sales effort through proposal/tender preparation, contract negotiation, and other client interfacing activities. Reporting to the General Manager, the Senior Manager, Advisory & Consulting will collaborate with the wider team led by Senior Director of KBR Consulting International.

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Originate projects to grow Advisory & Consulting business portfolio, covering projects from concept to Pre-Feed as well as Transaction Advisory

  • Ensure regional financial targets are met

  • Build a team to support the overall growth of Advisory & Consulting team

  • Manage client / external stakeholder relationships

  • Develop and maintain customer relationships to ensure customer satisfaction at project level and resolve any issues

  • Lead client engagements across project lifecycle

  • Responsible for successful execution and conclusion of projects executed in APAC region

  • Review project obligations and ensuring management of change including variation orders

  • Lead the regional project management team and manage risks to avoid delays or reputational damage

  • Oversee project managers to ensure that work is completed to a high standard, on time and within budget

  • Train, develop & mentor the next generation of Project Managers

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry / chemical engineering or other engineering degrees

  • At least 20 years of Energy/related industry experience specific to corporate energy transition work, energy policy and regulations and/or energy transition financing work

  • Experienced in managing projects from Concept to Pre-Feed, as well as Transaction Advisory (Technical and Operational Due Diligence) Services

  • At least 3 years of team management experience with advisory/consulting firms with demonstrated capability to grow the business

  • Proven capability in delivering high-end advisory/consulting projects and managing key stakeholders is essential

  • Experience in working at executive / C suite / C-1 where negotiating G2G / G2B business opportunities

  • Able to work within a ‘sell-do’ model

  • Strong self-starter and motivated to succeed

  • Practical front-end consulting – including scoping, selling and delivery

  • Demonstrate business acumen (ability to grasp commercial feasibility of proposals) and financial literacy (ability to understand basic financial concepts and evaluation methods)

  • Ability to work collaboratively with direct team members, as well as broader colleagues
