Position Summary

Aetna is recruiting for a Manger on the VBC and Network Analytics team to support VBC partnerships throughout Aetna’s Medicare segment to deliver on Aetna’s MA VBC strategy. You will partner collaboratively and cross-functionally with local market Network, Finance, Actuarial, other team members, as well as with external providers to promote the development, growth and execution of value-based contracts across Aetna’s MA business.

Responsibilities may include: 

  • Perform complex medical and financial cost analysis to evaluate real time medical cost and revenue drivers and develop strategic options and opportunities to favorably impact performance of our Medicare Value Based Contracts.
  • Partners and consults with Actuarial, Network, Patient Management and Segment teams to provide medical cost analysis to assess effectiveness of managing costs creating and implementing plans to effectively manage medical costs based on analysis or trends.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of external economic, demographic, regulatory, and other Medicare business drivers as well as the overall competitive environment
  • Support implementation and creation of enterprise initiatives to enhance VBC performance and mitigate unfavorable drivers of poor provider experience.
  • Presents complex information in a way that multiple levels within an organization can understand and utilize to make appropriate decisions to meet business objectives. Presentations can be within the company and externally to providers.
  • Individual contributor that applies wide-ranging knowledge and experience of own job area within business unit or function, and may have advanced knowledge and practical experience of specific technical areas applied within the context of a similar industry or type of organization
  • Apply technology to improve business processes and compliance (e.g., SQL, Python, SAS, VBA, R, and full suite of Microsoft Office products).


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience along with 3+ year of relevant work in the industry
  • Prior experience in Medicare Advantage
  • Advanced skills in Excel, MS-Access and Web-based query tools (MCM, data warehouse). Ability to learn new technologies
  • Typically works independently and manages projects
  • Plans and sets objectives to deliver responsibilities that have a direct effect on the business results within the context of the functional area that the job is in
  • Strong analytical ability and problem-solver mentality


Preferred Qualifications
Prior experience in Value Based Care.

Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work-related experience required

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$66,330.00 - $145,860.00

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.
