Our vision is to transform how the world uses information to enrich life for all.
Micron Technology is a world leader in innovating memory and storage solutions that accelerate the transformation of information into intelligence, inspiring the world to learn, communicate and advance faster than ever.
Micron’s IT organization is seeking a Senior / Principal Engineer to join our AI Enablement ecosystem, with deep focus on the Microsoft 365 AI platform, including Microsoft Copilot, tenant administration, security, deployments, integrations, and troubleshooting.
In this role, you will lead the engineering lifecycle for M365 AI capabilities across the enterprise—researching new features, evaluating readiness, configuring and deploying solutions, and supporting reliable operations at scale. You will work with Micron’s AI Enablement team and partners across Security, Privacy, Legal, and Data Governance. This collaboration ensures AI capabilities are delivered securely, compliantly, and practically!
The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer with strong Microsoft 365 platform knowledge, a security-first perspective, and communicates clearly with both technical teams and leadership.
Responsibilities:
Lead the end‑to‑end engineering lifecycle for M365 AI capabilities, including research, evaluation, configuration, deployment, operations, resolving issues, and optimization.
Maintain deep expertise in Microsoft’s AI ecosystem, including Copilot across M365 apps/services, Copilot Studio, and Power Platform capabilities.
Track Microsoft roadmap updates and preview features, translating changes into clear recommendations and implementation plans for Micron.
Plan and implement secure AI feature deployments covering identity/access prerequisites, licensing, data boundaries, tenant configuration, and compliance controls.
Partner with Security, Privacy, Legal, and Data Governance teams to implement AI governance‑aligned controls and operationalize responsible AI usage through guardrails, monitoring, auditability, sensitivity labeling, DLP, retention, and eDiscovery readiness.
Fix complex identity, permissions, client behavior, and service-health issues; lead RCA, customer concern handling, and preventive actions.
Develop and maintain repeatable deployment patterns, SOPs, runbooks, validation checklists, and support documentation; run business pilot programs and provide decision‑ready recommendations.
Collaborate with Microsoft and vendors on blocking issues and roadmap discussions, contribute to AI enablement content and communities, and identify automation opportunities for administration, monitoring, and incident response.
Minimum Qualifications:
8+ years of experience in enterprise engineering roles supporting M365, identity, security, endpoint management, collaboration services, or related platforms.
Deep understanding of Microsoft 365 tenant administration and how AI capabilities interact with identity, data access, security, compliance, and endpoints
Demonstrated experience implementing security-first designs and operational controls in enterprise environments (least privilege, Zero Trust, auditing, and governance).
Strong troubleshooting and incident leadership skills, including root cause analysis, managing blocking issues, and durable corrective actions.
Proven ability to break down complex or ambiguous technical problems into structured, actionable plans.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with ability to work across engineering teams, support teams, business collaborators, and leadership.
Experience working cross-functionally with IT, Security, Legal, and business teams in a large enterprise environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
10+ years of experience in enterprise platform engineering or operations.
Hands-on experience with several of the following:
o Microsoft 365 administration (tenant configuration, service management, change management)
o Microsoft Copilot enablement (readiness, rollout planning, permissions/data access implications)
o Microsoft Entra (identity, conditional access, authentication policies, app integrations)
o Microsoft Purview (sensitivity labels, DLP, retention, eDiscovery/compliance operations)
o Microsoft Defender (identity, endpoint, cloud apps)
o Intune / endpoint management (policy, client readiness, secure configuration)
o Information protection and governance (classification, access control, auditability)
Experience deploying enterprise capabilities using phased rollouts, persona-based deployment, and coordinated training/communications plans.
Experience operating production services with strong reliability practices (incident response, RCA, change control, release management).
Experience with Copilot Studio and/or Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, Power BI) in enterprise use cases.
Experience in highly regulated environments and/or protecting sensitive intellectual property.
