We are seeking an innovative and experienced Senior Manager of Product Design to lead the product design team in crafting exceptional experiences for our fantasy sports products.
This is a pivotal role for a passionate leader who excels in blending user-centric design, business strategy, and creative vision to shape the future of Yahoo Fantasy Sports.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead Experience Strategy: Define and execute a compelling product experience vision and strategy for Yahoo Fantasy Sports that aligns with business goals and addresses user needs across web, mobile, and app platforms.
Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and inspire a team of talented product designers, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture that empowers them to deliver their best work.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with product managers, engineers, researchers, and data scientists to create seamless, engaging user experiences while aligning on product roadmaps and priorities.
User-Centered Design: Advocate for user-centered design principles and ensure designs are backed by insights from user research, analytics, and testing.
Product Innovation: Drive innovation by identifying emerging trends, technologies, and opportunities in fantasy sports and incorporating them into design strategies to keep Yahoo Fantasy Sports at the forefront of the industry.
Stakeholder Engagement: Present design concepts and solutions to stakeholders and senior leadership, effectively communicating the impact on user engagement and business outcomes.
Design Delivery: Ensure timely delivery of high-quality, polished design solutions that elevate the Yahoo Fantasy Sports experience.
Continuous Improvement: Champion design systems, processes, and best practices to create scalable, consistent, and accessible experiences across the platform.
What We’re Looking For
Leadership Experience: Proven track record of managing and growing high-performing product design teams, with an ability to inspire and guide others toward shared goals.
User-Centered Expertise: Deep knowledge of user-centered design, design thinking, and experience creating end-to-end workflows for complex, interactive digital products.
Product Vision: Strong ability to define and drive product vision, balancing user needs with business objectives to create meaningful experiences.
Collaboration Skills: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and work effectively across teams.
Data-Driven Design: Experience using user research, data, and testing to inform design decisions and measure success.
Passion for Fantasy Sports: Enthusiasm for fantasy sports, with an understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities in this space.
Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing user-centered design solutions, problem-solving skills, and a proven ability to deliver impactful designs across web, mobile, and app platforms.
Qualifications
7+ years of experience in product design, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
Experience leading design teams for consumer-focused products; knowledge of the fantasy sports or gaming space is a plus.
Proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Sketch, or Adobe Creative Suite, with a working knowledge of prototyping and design systems.
Familiarity with accessibility standards and designing for inclusivity.
Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.

The compensation for this position ranges from $143,625.00 - $299,375.00/yr and will vary depending on factors such as your location, skills and experience. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of discretionary annual bonus or commissions, in addition to equity incentives.
