Aircraft Repair Engineer

Oliver Wyman Vector’s Engineering group in Mexico City is seeking an experienced Aircraft Repair Engineer. Oliver Wyman Vector is a leader in aerospace and defense consulting and services, and this role is a critical part of our expanding airframe repair design and approval business. We are looking for a dedicated professional with a strong commitment to aviation safety and excellence in delivery. The ideal candidate is self-driven and thrives working collaboratively within a project team environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for creating, validating, and maintaining technical documentation in an XML-based content environment.

  • This role reviews and quality-checks documents converted from legacy formats (such as PDF) to XML to ensure the updated content accurately reflects the original technical intent, authors and updates manuals, work instructions, and engineering documents using structured XML tagging and effectivity/applicability rules, and performs data clean-up to improve consistency, accuracy, and usability across the documentation set.

  • The engineer also supports the development and refinement of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) related to content creation and maintenance, participates in testing and implementation of new or updated processes and tools, and provides guidance to stakeholders on XML authoring practices.

Required Experience and Qualifications

  • Ideal candidates have experience with technical documentation or engineering data, hands-on XML and content management system experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to interpret technical information and translate it into clear, accurate, structured content.

  • In-depth knowledge of U.S. CFR Part 121 airline heavy maintenance operations.

Additional Information

  • This is a full-time position based in the Mexico City office or worked remotely within the nearby region.

  • Travel is expected to be less than 10% annually.

  • Opportunities exist for career progression into a lead repair engineer role.
