Summary of the role

Our program not only provides a full spectrum support for its members to pursue and support your path to professional actuarial designations, but ultimately to develop you as a future leader for Corebridge.
Responsibilities
Further your actuarial career and work as part of team as you prepare to become an FSA in the Society of Actuaries.
Be part of an organization that offers various actuarially opportunities, from very technically roles to roles focused on working with teams of talented associates in driving value to Corebridge and its customers.
Be part of an organization that is committed to your on-going development, including offering various educational opportunities.
Work with senior leaders (both actuarial and non-actuarial leaders) on driving key business and actuarial goals.
Support Bermuda EBS model development for all insurance products reinsured to Corebridge’s Bermuda Subsidiary CICB.
Analyze model requirements.
Create database store procedure to transform policy data into AXIS required format.
Implement AXIS model for actuarial assumptions and valuation method under Bermuda regulation.
Support BAU modeling activities such as assumption updates, methodology improvements, regulatory required changes, etc.
Perform unit testing on development work and peer-review as assigned. Document all implantation steps.
Provide both onshore and offshore model owners with any required ad hoc analysis.
Support QA function by testing and remediating model discrepancies.
Work with Actuarial Control and Model Governance team to ensure model controls are developed according to requirements.
Work with IT to resolve data issues or process issues.
Automate model run process and improve model run efficiency.
Support model transition to production team by providing effective documentation and communication.
Skills and Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in actuarial science, mathematics, statistics, economics, finance, or other quantitative fields.
5+ years of progressively more responsible actuarial experience with Life & Retirement Insurance products.
Associate of the Society of Actuaries designation preferred, but not required. Will consider candidates who are close to getting the ASA, but haven't achieved it yet. Similar designation of an ASA is also considered.
Experience with various valuation frameworks, including Bermuda EBS, US STAT, CFT, and GAAP preferred.
Experience with Moody’s AXIS preferred.
Highly detailed oriented with strong analytical problem-solving skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work independently and within a team.
Advanced knowledge of MS Office especially Access and Excel.
Programming skill in SQL and VBA is required. C# and XML experience preferred but not required.
