Job Description

Rooftop loader / Shipper and receiver

Job Summary: Responsible for safely loading bundles of shingles and related products to the roof. Safely load, unload, move, ship and receive product and inventory. Ensures order accuracy through correct picking, tagging, and verification. Maintain compliance with all health and safety regulations and supports additional operational tasks as required.

Job Responsibilities

• Loading rooftops with bundles of shingles and related products
• Working closely and co-operatively with driver to ensure safe and efficient delivery of product
• Handling material by hand and with use of appropriate equipment 
• Safely loading, unloading, moving, shipping and receiving product and inventory
• Ensuring orders are picked correctly, tagged and double checked
• Maintaining clean and organized work environments in the store and yard
• Strictly adhering to and complying with all health and safety rules, regulations, and legislation
• Other duties as required

Qualifications

• Requires physical strength/stamina and the ability to work at heights. 
• Fall Protection/Working at Heights training - an asset (can be provided)
• Valid Forklift License - an asset (training can be provided)
• Ability to lift, push and carry 80-100lbs repeatedly
• Strong customer service skills
• Previous Warehouse and Forklift Experience - Preferred
• Knowledge of the roofing industry would be considered an asset
