The Senior Strategic Sourcing Development Team Leader – Aero Industrialization and Generator Capacity – will be responsible for developing, managing and executing buy and supply chain strategies and be the primary Point of Contact (POC) for developing a robust upstream supply chain programs for the inhouse and external aeroderivative engine and generator manufacturing operations.

Job Description

What you’ll do

  • Develop and implement sourcing and supply chain strategies for aeroderivative turbine components to support growth in services and repairs.
  • Ensure alignment of supply chain strategies with overall business objectives and growth plans.
  • Collaborate with Commodity Leaders to develop and execute supply chain, capacity, demand allocation, and negotiation strategies.
  • Partner with regional and global business leaders to ensure fulfillment, quality, and regulatory requirements for the Generator product line.
  • Create and enforce business policies to meet business targets and enhance the customer experience with Sourcing.
  • Manage and optimize the supply base for aeroderivative turbine components, ensuring reliability and cost-effectiveness.
  • Analyze market trends and supplier capabilities to identify opportunities for improvement and risk mitigation.
  • Foster strong relationships with key suppliers to enhance collaboration and performance.
  • Monitor supplier performance and communicate issues to the commodity team for resolution.
  • Develop strategies for capacity expansion through diversified supply chains and cost reduction projects.
  • Collaborate with business and commodity leaders to determine sourcing projects of focus to drive deflation, usage, cash, and Panel supplier initiatives.
  • Lead initiatives for Capacity, Deflation, and VCP across all commodities, and drive cost-out initiatives.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the supply chain to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
  • Monitor and report on KPIs related to supply chain efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Proactively monitor risks and lead escalations, mitigation, and corrective actions.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration and Strategic Guidance
  • Collaborate with commodity managers to build a robust supply chain for both outsourced and in-house generator value streams.
  • Provide strategic guidance and support to cross-functional teams on supply chain-related matters.
  • Stay abreast of industry best practices and emerging technologies to innovate and enhance supply chain processes.
  • Engage with the broader Sourcing organization and participate in strategic sourcing initiatives.
  • Prepare, present, and influence senior leaders on current and future sourcing imperatives.
  • Compliance and Operational Excellence
  • Own sourcing QMS compliance and ensure adherence to all sourcing policies & procedures.
  • Manage Operating Plan and SQDC through KPIs.
  • Work with the legal team to provide operational support on contract management and litigation supports.

What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications)

  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university

  • Significant experience in Supply Chain or Sourcing role

  • Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to ~20% of the time, as required

  • Fluent in English

  • Strong PC and database management skills

  • Strong oral and written communications skills

  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills

  • Proven project management and process improvement ability

  • Change agent with the ability to influence at all levels

 

What will make you stand out

  • Masters in Business Administration (MBA) is preferred

  • Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification

  • GE Program graduate is an advantage

Pay Transparency

For U.S. based candidates only, for purposes of complying with U.S. pay transparency requirements, the base pay range for this position is $149,400.00 - 248,900.00 USD.  The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for a discretionary annual bonus.

*The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
