Job Description:

Elsewhere Entertainment is looking for a Physics Engineer to join the development of a new IP.   
 
Feed your creativity while collaborating with our team of highly-skilled developers to build something innovative, exhilarating, and expansively entertaining! 
 
As a member of the Engineering department, you’ll maintain and improve upon our physics framework, pipeline and feature-set.

 

You’ll help take the studio and our game from great to even better—with a focus on inclusivity, mutual respect (for ourselves and our players), thoughtfulness, empathy, professionalism, and collaboration.  

 
You’ll help us by 

  • Drive our collision data pipeline to build the highest fidelity scalable environments and assets

  • Architect and support simulation and query behaviors to maintain our position at the cutting edge of FPS physics related gameplay and visuals

  • Deploy, evaluate performance, optimize, and test software on PC and console platform.

 

You’re awesome because you have 

  • 5+ years of experience working as an engineer in the game industry or a similar industry

  • Significant experience with physics pipeline requirements and runtime behaviors. 

  • Proven ability to collaborate, coordinate, communicate and support other team members

  • Demonstrated ability to write efficient, performant, clean, readable, portable, and reliable code

 

Bonus points for 

  • Direct experience with Havok or similar middleware

  • Enjoyment of playing a variety of video game genres and titles
