Job Description Summary:
In this role, and in collaboration with the Software Build and Tools Architect, the Software Build and Tools Technical Leader defines and implements common best-in-class CICD toolchains for PDS programs. Ensures PDS alignment with corporate DevOps infrastructure and strategies using approved engineering processes. Collaborates with software integration, test and release competencies to automate and optimize process in the CICD/CICT toolchains. Trains and guides others in development of program CICD toolchains consistent with the PDS (and corporate) DevOps infrastructure and strategies--serving as a technical resource to them. Assists PDS program teams with technical support and best practices for tool integration to DevOps. Meets the department's cost and quality goals.

• Key Responsibility:

• Work closely with development and operations teams to ensure best-in-class DevOps practices, including proactive monitoring, automated alerting, and self-healing mechanisms
• Implement cutting-edge tools to automate our infrastructure and streamline processes
• Develop and deploy self-healing systems to automatically resolve issues like server failures, application crashes, or service downtimes
• Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless integration of DevOps processes across the organization.
•  Part of the DevOps team in establishing best practices around infrastructure management, deployment, monitoring, and security
• Design cost-effective architectures that optimize the use of resources while ensuring high performance

      Work Experience/Skills:

   

• Minimum 6 to 10 years experience of DevOps, preferably in Automotive or Embedded Software development domain.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Electronics and Communication or Automotive Electronics domain.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, AWS CodePipeline
• Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Ability to Architect Scalable Infrastructure
• Experience in Integration/testing/debugging/DevOps/AWS Engineering in automating, building, deploying, and releasing of code from one environment to other environment like Dev, Staging and Production.
• Proficient in all aspects of software life cycle like Build/Release/Deploy and specialized in cloud automation through open-source DevOps tools like Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, terraform, Ansible etc.
• Hands on experience with container technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices architecture.
• Good hands-on knowledge of Source Code Management Tools like Git/github.
• Experience bringing integrated software/hardware products from the early development phase to production
• Experience with Security & Compliance in DevOps
• Strong coding skills in Perl, Python, Makefile, Shell script, or other industry-standard scripting languages
• Hands on experience with build tools like MAKE/CMAKE
• Familiarity with AI and ML and its integration in DevOps practice
• Ability to technically lead a small team of engineers to meet the scope , quality and schedule of the agreed project.
