Job Summary:

The Commission Debt Specialist position is responsible for contacting agents to notify and collect on outstanding balances, manage agent overdue accounts and negotiating payment plans. This role requires persistence, attention to detail, and the ability to handle difficult conversations with tact and professionalism to ensure effective debt recovery.

Main Accountabilities:

This position has a variety of duties, including but not limited to:

  • Contact agents via phone, email, and mail to collect outstanding debts.
  • Negotiate payment plans and settlements within company guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate records of all communications and transactions.
  • Review and update account information to ensure accuracy.
  • Address inquiries and concerns related to outstanding debts.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to resolve disputes and discrepancies.
  • Assist in special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years of debt collection or customer service experience preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience within an office environment
  • Strong problem-solving skills and experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills
