WHO YOU’LL WORK WITH
As a member of NIKE’s Athlete Promo Footwear team, you will inform, drive and facilitate decisions throughout the product creation process to deliver design vision, athlete performance and product excellence. You will collaborate with Product Design, Product Management, Engineering, Testing, Materials, Operations, and Factory product creation teams to actively develop processes and tools that build solutions that support the creation of Footwear for multiple sports.

The Athlete Promo Footwear Team is the engine that enables our elite athletes to amplify our world class products on the field of play. They work with product teams, athletes, and cross functional partners to ensure our athletes have the right product, at the right time on some of the largest stages of competitive sport. They utilize communication skills, footwear knowledge, problem solving abilities, and passion for sport to provide exceptional product and unparalleled support to our athlete family in a way that is singularly unique to Nike.
We are looking for a Senior Footwear Developer who will provide project and process direction within the Athlete Footwear Promo Development teams both here and in Asia. As a Senior Footwear Product Developer, you will lead the product creation development of a footwear line for multiple sports including and not limited to Volleyball, Boxing, Wrestling, Fencing, Weightlifting, and Field hockey. You will develop footwear that achieves inspiring design vision and delivers pinnacle performance for all level of athletes, from elite to recreational. The ideal candidate must be a strong team player, have an eagerness to learn, and the ability to advance the product development process.
WHAT YOU’LL WORK ON
This person is responsible for converting a project brief and a 2D design into a 3D sample that meets the needs of the team, enables timely decision-making and ultimately, helps to meet the needs of our consumer. You will lead, guide and follow through on making decisions that will lead to timely product confirmation and sample delivery. You'll execute product creation according to critical dates and performance/profitability goals. You'll work with your multi-functional teammates to ensure manufacturability of product concepts.
Additionally, you will utilize footwear knowledge and instruments to effectively and appropriately achieve project designs. You'll apply fundamental understanding of multiple sports and standard methodologies to identify product and testing requirements and assure product performance through physical and field-testing (fit). You will recommend and specify material, component and construction options to meet key features and product performance goals. In addition, you'll engage in all phases of the product process to ensure projects are completed on time, can be commercialized, manufactured, while meeting design intent performance, costing and sustainability goals.
