About the Role

SPM Oil & Gas currently has an opening for an Iron Technician. This role provides assembly and testing of various mechanical components. 

Compensation starts at $23.70/hr; negotiable depending on experience.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to: 

  • Assists Iron Technicians during the disassemble phase  
  • Clean, strip and inspect all required flow control components  
  • Prepare flow control products for Gauging, Ultra Sonic, and MPI inspections  
  • Ability to demonstrate the disassemble of flow control products per Standard Operating Procedure (SOP)  
  • Ability to identify SPM and Customer product 
  • Ability to assemble flow control product  
  • Nondestructive Testing Trainee (NDT Trainee)  
  • Manifold tear down/rebuild trainee  
  • Demonstrates computer skills for the SPM AMP System  
  • Requires knowledge of SPM products and customer standards  
  • Inventory Incoming Iron  
  • Provides proper care and maintenance of all shop tools, equipment, and work area 
  • Monitors daily work activities to ensure requirements are met  
  • Performs other routine duties as assigned 

Basic Qualifications:  

One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
