At the European Shared Services Center based in Cornellà de Llobregat, with more than 300 employees, we support the group's various subsidiaries of all Europe and other regions. We have built an outstanding multicultural environment composed of employees of around 30 different nationalities.

We are looking for a Collections Specialist with a permanent contract based in Cornellá (Barcelona).

As a Collections Specialist you will:

• Ensure timely collection of outstanding customer balances in line with Air Products’ Credit & Collections Escalation Policy.

• Respond to customer calls and emails within department targets; identify customer complaints and escalate appropriately.

• Proactively make outbound collection calls to customers to drive strong daily productivity and maintain an effective, action‑oriented portfolio.

• Anticipate and communicate with Customer Services, Sales Representatives, and customers regarding disputed items, potential payment issues, and credit hold situations.

• Support and act as backup for fellow collector associates as required.

• Liaise with the Credit & Collections Team Lead on all credit‑related issues.

• Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date logs of individual customer interactions and account information.

You will have:

• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
• A degree in Business Administration, Economics, or a related field (preferred).
• Proven experience handling inbound and outbound calls, ideally within a Credit & Collections environment.
• Strong negotiation skills, with experience engaging both customers and internal stakeholders on topics such as collections, dispute resolution, account reconciliation, and charges/payments.
• A solid understanding of customer accounts and end-to-end business processes.
• Basic accounting knowledge, particularly in customer accounting.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Experience with SAP is an advantage, though not mandatory.
