Job Description:

A registered or licensed professional who assumes responsibility for the development and coordination of lactation educational programs, projects and clinical services for The Women’s Center.Education: ▪ Required: Graduate of an approved nursing program ▪ Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing Experience: ▪ Preferred: Minimum 2 years clinical experience in maternal-child area with experience assisting breastfeeding families Skills: ▪ Excellent verbal and written communication skills ▪ Excellent customer service skills ▪ Prioritization and time management skills ▪ Excellent computer and phone skills ▪ Comprehensive understanding of principles of breastfeeding, nutritional requirements of infant and normal feeding behaviors Licensure/Certification/Registration: ▪ Required: IBCLC (International Board Certified Lactation Consultant) or CBE (Certified Breastfeeding Educator) or must obtain within 2 years of hire.
