JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Will Call Selector will maintain and increase market share by satisfying customer needs and meeting management objectives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receive and process orders in an accurate and timely manner, exceeding customer expectations.
  • Respond to customers and Marketing Associate inquires/requests for information concerning orders, deliveries or problems (such as product quality, delivery problems, delivery schedules, or product availability) all in a considerate and professional manner.
  • Develop excellent communication and relationships with Marketing Associates and their accounts.
  • Give suggestive selling ideas to customers in an effort to increase sales.
  • Speak with other sales and marketing personnel in their company to determine the best methods of promoting products
  • Must be able to multitask and handle multiple incoming lines. Relieve Receptionist Switchboard Operator when needed.
  • Demonstrate self-confidence and interpersonal communications skills, excellent telephone voice, manner, and etiquette.
  • Must project a professional and positive attitude.
  • Operate in a "no surprise" manner with both external and internal customers.
  • Demonstrate use of products and show samples
  • Handle MA vacation calls where applicable.
  • Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems; developing solutions; preparing reports; making recommendations to management
  • Handle all pickups and credits
  • Preform other duties as directed by Supervisor

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • One (1) year customer service or sales experience
  • One (1) year experience in data-entry preferred
  • One (1) year experience in the restaurant/hospitality industry preferred
  • AS400, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel preferred
  • General understanding of distribution and warehousing procedures preferred
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively in a positive manner, follow through on directions and organize effectively to satisfy the customers’ needs
  • Professional aptitude, presentation and demeanor.

  • Ability to maintain a high level of detail, understanding of traceability and accuracy
  • Results oriented and able to work on own initiative.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Constant sitting for long periods of time.
