Position Summary...

Want to help lead the way in redefining how we shop beauty online? The Senior Manager of Site Merchandising – Beauty is a critical leader shaping the end-to-end customer site experience for the Beauty category within our Strategic Business Units (SBUs). This role oversees everything from visual merchandising to content strategy to site functionality and campaign execution—while also owning the development and activation of a forward-looking beauty trend strategy.

This leader will be responsible for building a structured, data-informed beauty trend forecasting framework and translating that strategy into compelling, conversion-driving experiences on site. They will partner cross-functionally across merchandising, supplier/brand partners, marketing, and style teams to align on trend priorities, develop an annual trend activation calendar, and measure performance to continuously refine impact.

This role blends art and science—combining trend intuition, customer empathy, storytelling, analytics, and operational rigor—to create a frictionless, inspiring online beauty shopping experience.

You’ll Make an Impact By:
Owning the Beauty Trend Strategy & Framework
  • Develop and implement a scalable, repeatable framework for forecasting beauty trends, leveraging internal data, competitive analysis, social listening, cultural insights, supplier input, and industry reporting.
  • Define clear criteria for identifying, prioritizing, and commercializing trends for eCommerce.
  • Partner cross-functionally to align stakeholders on trend definitions, investment levels, and storytelling approach.
Building and Leading the Annual Trend Activation Calendar
  • Create and own a 12-month trend activation roadmap that outlines how key beauty trends will come to life across the site.
  • Integrate trend moments into broader category campaigns, seasonal storytelling, and new product launches.
  • Ensure alignment between site merchandising, marketing campaigns, supplier activations, and style/editorial content.
Bringing Trend Stories to Life on Site
  • Oversee visual merchandising, content strategy, navigation, taxonomy, search, browse experience, landing pages, and trend shops.
  • Translate trend strategy into immersive, conversion-driving digital experiences.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance site functionality and personalization to better surface trend content to relevant customers.
  • Tell cohesive, compelling stories that connect trends to products, routines, and solutions.
Monitoring Performance & Optimizing Impact
  • Establish clear KPIs for trend activations (engagement, conversion, AOV, new customer acquisition, brand lift, etc.).
  • Build reporting frameworks to measure performance against the annual trend calendar.
  • Use test-and-learn methodologies to continuously refine execution and inform future forecasting.
  • Provide strategic insights to internal stakeholders to influence broader site direction.
Acting as a Strategic Cross-Functional Leader
  • Serve as the connective tissue across merchandising, marketing, supplier/brand partners, creative, and style teams.
  • Advise stakeholders on trend priorities, timing, and storytelling strategy.
  • Scale best practices, governance, and process improvements to enable faster and more effective trend activation.
Operating with Excellence
  • Embed operational rigor into trend planning and site execution workflows.
  • Develop efficient processes for new product onboarding aligned to trend moments.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team, increasing capabilities in both analytics and trend storytelling.

The annual salary range for this position is $90,000.00 - $180,000.00 Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include :
