OVERVIEW:
Role Responsibilities:
Strategic Initiatives: Act as an internal consultant and provide thought leadership for a variety of key strategic initiatives identified by senior leadership
Research new business trends and leverage expert interviews to build insights / recommendations on new business opportunities
Conduct analyses for relevant projects to support decision making
Participate in problem solving sessions with internal strategy colleagues to drive conceptual thinking and pressure test analytical recommendations
Synthesize findings in clear, structured documents and lead presentations with organizational stakeholders
Work cross-functionally to ensure projects remain on track
Business and Competitive Intelligence: Drive insights to understand the landscape and trends in the sporting goods and omni-channel retail industry
Aggregate & analyze internal and 3rd party data sources and prepare insights for leadership on market trends, performance, and share changes
Create and update KPIs relevant to assessing risk for key strategic focus areas
Manage third party vendors who provide data and ensure that data delivery is prompt and accurate
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's Degree in Business administration, finance, economics, or analytics
1-3 years experience in Consulting, Investment Banking, Private Equity/Venture Capital, Internal Corporate Strategy for a Fortune 500 Company
