Job Purpose

The Sr. Demand Planner provides a specialized services related to statistical forecast to the Demand Forecasting teams. The purpose of the job is to ensure the most appropriate use of statistical models and other inputs to develop a robust, un-biased and comprehensive baseline sales forecast across an assigned Therapy/SKU portfolio.

This role will support in providing analytics related to Baseline KPI performance and problem solving for top offenders to drive continuous improvement.

Education, Experience & Skills

  • Undergraduate

  • MBA/Master in relevant field is preferred

  • 3-5 years of practical experience in running demand forecasting and/or analytical processes, ideally in a Pharmaceuticals environment.

  • Core S&OP experience is also preferred

  • High attention to detail.

  • Highly numerate with knowledge of supply chain forecasting systems, ideally SAP APO, and processes

  • Advanced Excel /Power BI skills

  • Strong planning ability & able to work on own initiative

  • Strong interpersonal and coaching skills

  • Proactively seeks opportunities to increase value by raising standards & championing best practices

Key Responsibilities

  • In collaboration with the Demand Forecasting Manager(s) ,assign the appropriate forecast models in SAP IBP to support forecasting of the existing SKU portfolio as well as the launch of new products or line extensions

  • Ensures that the statistical baseline sales forecasts are completed in line with the agreed planning calendar and that the optimum forecasting models are applied to each SKU

  • Review master data with demand planner and ensure appropriate forecastability is maintained for each SKU/ market

  • Drive baseline KPI performance & alert reports to take appropriate actions with demand planner for the improvement of overall statistical forecast

  • Collaborate with  market demand forecasting manager to discuss the statistical forecast via monthly  exception review meetings and incorporate DFM feedback into the baseline forecast

  • Coach and develop demand planners in collaboration with demand forecasting manager- IBP

  • Drive problem solving and escalate system/technical issues for timely execution of  IBP activities

  • Provide input to analytics team for improvement/designing of analytical tools related to baseline forecast.

  • Support analytics teams in uploading the commercial forecast in SAP APO
