Principle Roles & Responsibilities / Accountabilities
Understanding and Translating Global Strategy: The manager must deeply understand the global strategic objectives, initiatives, and key performance indicators (KPIs). They then translate this high-level strategy into a clear, compelling narrative that is relevant and actionable for the local site.
Strategic Planning: Partner with business leaders and P&C partners to identify critical skill gaps and future capability needs aligned with our company's strategic goals.
Program Design & Development: Design, develop, and manage comprehensive learning programs, including technical, leadership, and professional skills training. This includes creating engaging content, selecting appropriate delivery methods (e.g., in-person, virtual, e-learning), and managing external vendor relationships.
Implementation & Delivery: Oversee the successful implementation and delivery of all learning initiatives. This may involve facilitating training sessions, coordinating with internal trainers, and managing program logistics.
Evaluation & Reporting: Establish metrics and evaluation frameworks to measure the effectiveness and business impact of learning programs. Analyze data to report on ROI and make data-driven recommendations for program improvements.
Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across all levels of the organization to ensure buy-in and alignment on learning priorities.
Technology & Innovation: Stay current with the latest trends and technologies in learning and development (e.g., AI-driven learning, gamification) to continuously enhance our capability-building offerings.
Qualification and Experience
Education/Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree or above in Human Resources, Organizational Development, Education, or a related field
Experience:
Minimum of 10 years of experience in a learning and development, talent management, or organizational development role, preferably within a multinational corporation.
Proven experience in designing and delivering effective training programs.
Skills:
Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies.
Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and other learning technologies.
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills and stakeholder management abilities.
Strong negotiation / influencing / persuasion skills
Strong problem-solving skills with proven abilities to anticipate issues and recommend effective and efficient solution
High cultural awareness and proven ability to work and collaborate with a broad range of cultures
Languages: Fluent in English and Mandarin (written and spoken)
