Job description
ABB Robotics RnD China is currently looking for a talented UX design engineer who will design robot products that meet customers’ need. This position should be an analytical and creative designer who is able to grasp user needs and solve problems. The UX engineer should make our products more use-friendly and intuitive to attract customers. Our internal stakeholders mainly locate in China, Sweden, Germany, India, and US.
Main Responsibilities
Contribute to interaction architecture and interface design of robot product. Independently work on strategic design and deliver user friendly design solutions:
Research on feature requirements
Architect user-oriented interactions
Deliver well documented design solutions
Verify and improve the solutions through iterative user testing
Identify design problems and design elegant solutions
Validate the implementation and do continuous improvements
Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders
Other layout design or product promotion related tasks
Requirements
To be considered as a candidate, you need to fulfill the following requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or above in interaction design, experience design or equivalent degree with necessary expertise in the mentioned areas Three or more years of UX design experience. Have experience with rapid prototyping and user testing Proficient with visual design tools including Figma, Illustrator, Photoshop. Ability of problem solving, time management and teamwork skills Positive attitude to work, engagement in the tasks and a strong result-orientation Fluent English communication and collaboration skills, in both oral and written English. Ability to work effectively in collaborative environment to create user-friendly interfaces for clients. Experience with layout design or video making is a plus. (Familiar with InDesign, Premiere, or other video editing tool)
Please provide a design portfolio with at least 2 UI/interaction design related projects.
