Location:

Preferred location in Boston, MA or Morristown, NJ, in office requirement a minimum of twice monthly on Wednesdays, plus some additional travel required quarterly.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with leaders across the business unit to motivate and develop people in a way that yields unprecedented business results.
  • Maintain a detailed knowledge of the industry, clients and market. Stay current with  innovation and cutting-edge techniques related to people strategy.
  • Advise on talent selection, intake and movement, including organizational design, capability building and capacity modeling.  Talent broker at Leadership level, planning and orchestrating transitions, catalyzing associate movement for strategic development or performance management, interview and assess talent at this level.
  • Utilize and advise on change management approaches at the individual, department and business unit level.
  • Build organizational alignment and communication media including announcements, success profiles, business cases and job aids as appropriate.
  • Contribute to a constructive and inclusive organizational culture within the business unit and the People & Culture team.
  • Conduct internal investigations in collaboration with the Legal and Compliance departments as needed.
  • Collaborate closely with enterprise People & Culture functions including Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Total Rewards, Learning, Operations, etc. Support programs, systems and processes for efficiency and success.
  • Collaborate closely with business unit partners including Finance, Chief of Staff, Operations, Legal and others to ensure organizational effectiveness and results.
  • Presents key People + Culture initiatives to various audiences including Senior Leadership.

Professional Experience & Skills:

  • 12+ years of Human Resources experience, at least 5 years in a business partner role
  • Demonstrated experience partnering and coaching executive and mid-level leaders in complex and dynamic business environments.
  • Global work experience required, demonstrated ability to support cultural difference and organization model work outside of the US
  • Superb communication and interpersonal skills – high emotional intelligence, humility and low ego
  • Demonstrated experience as a talent expert, including assessment process, succession planning and executive level coaching
  • Demonstrated success producing results with limited resources, support or staff
  • Successful implementation of major initiatives, including continuous improvement, across diverse audiences and geographies
  • Familiarity with organizational design and change management methodologies and approaches
  • Works on unique issues; exercises independent judgment in methods & techniques
  • Deep employee relations experience at the executive level; strong understanding employment law and policy
  • Expert in data utilization, analysis and visualization in talent story-telling and motivate leaders to action, organizational diagnostics
  • Expert in facilitation with executive audience
  • Demonstrates an understanding of how P&C practices and talent capabilities impact business outcomes

Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) +12 yrs experience required;  Masters +8 yrs experience (preferred)

Work Environment:

  • Sitting at desk or meetings, or standing for long periods of time
  • Ability to maneuver through a production environment required
  • Occasional travel required
  • Work long hours and flexible schedule when needed
  • Use standard office equipment
