Department Overview

The TD Wealth BI Practice team is responsible for providing thought leadership for various Wealth Lines of Business through analytics, standardized reporting, self-serve data and actionable insights to help drive meaningful business decisions and results.

The team provides a holistic lens for revenue growth, sales, performance management/ coaching, risk and compliance.

Job Description

The Business Intelligence Analysts will be accountable for delivering timely, meaningful business performance reporting and analytics that derive measurable business values across our business lines.

Meaningful work is fueled by meaningful performance and career development conversations with your manager. Here's some of what you may be asked to perform:

  • Working closely with business stakeholders to facilitate data-informed decisions

  • Liaise with business stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate deliverables

  • Support the design and execution of suitable BI solutions in a timely fashion to support business decisions

  • Collaborate with technology and business partners to resolve issues and ensure requirements and established SLAs

  • Responsible for the preparation and distribution of sales, performance and business management reporting

  • Apply automation and innovation on data platforms and on-going on any new development projects / initiatives aligned to business or organizational strategies

  • Develop and maintain knowledge of data available from upstream sources and data within various platforms

  • Identify issues, develop, and maintain processes that address and resolve them, (and be sure to communicate/alert stakeholders as needed).

  • Perform data profiling using TD tooling and ad hoc system query languages to validate data analysis

  • Continuously review existing reporting requirements and processes, proactively providing thought leadership and hands-on development for future reporting needs and metrics.

Job Requirements
Share your credentials, but your relevant experience and knowledge can be just as likely to get our attention. It helps if you have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Sciences, Information Science & Data Management, Statistics, Engineering or equivalent work experience

  • 2+ years of experience in reporting, analysis, and insights in the Financial Services industry

  • Strong analytically anchored problem-solving skills, solid background working with data, analysis and in planning complex workflows.

  • Expertise in advanced Data Analytics technology including PySpark,  Azure and Tableau

  • Programming experience with one or more of Python, SQL and (nice to have) Posit

  • Ability to pivot quickly and respond to occasional urgent business needs

  • Strong ability to engage with business partners and co-workers in an open and co-operative team-based environment to get things done

  • Have a good ability to communicate, in language / concepts that end-user business partners will understand, complex reporting/ data / analysis issues

  • Demonstrate the ability to lead projects from requirements to deployment with minimal supervision

  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines/projects and keep key players informed

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with good presentation skills

  • Support a positive work environment that promotes quality, innovation and ensures timely communication of issues/points of interests
