As part of the Production Test organization, you will be responsible for coordination or all test campaigns within the Operations organization. This role supports all teams within manufacturing and the programs to ensure all requirements are met and executed in line with all goals and objectives. Utilizing your program management skills, you will ensure the Production Test team and associated technicians and engineers are all enabled to succeed in a high pressure and fast paced environment, where decisions must be made quickly, leveraging experts and processes to ensure maximum efficiency. As the focal you will be responsible for supporting the manufacturing rate targets and escalating blockers quickly for resolution. You will need to the cornerstone of all test activities in a given scope, such that all communications and decisions are funneled through you and information is flowed quickly to the teams and leadership as required. You will be responsible for the project scope, which includes developing, managing, and reporting on resource-loaded schedules, test budgets, staffing needs, program risk, and variances to the plan.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop comprehensive plans to execute New Glenn Stage integrated test campaigns.
  • Coordinate with test article owners, design engineers, test engineers, production test engineering, and procurement to ensure all aspects of the tests are executing to plan.
  • Manage key program metrics (and associated reporting tools) in areas such as: budget, engineering schedules, equipment schedules, procurement schedules, test schedules, program management status reports, and resource plans
  • Identify risk, document, communicate, develop mitigation plans and drive to an acceptable level
  • Communicate status, critical paths, challenges, and recommended solutions

Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Engineering or technical degree
  • 3+ years experience leading projects
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with effective presentation abilities
  • Strong analytic skills with an acute attention to detail
  • Comfortable performing in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

Schedule:

  • Develop and manage detailed schedules for all test activities and coordinate progress with higher level IMS.
  • Perform schedule baseline change control, collect and track performance, conduct critical path and variance analyses
  • Provide regular updates to all stakeholders on progress and risks to meet overall schedule
  • Collaborate with purchasing and supplier management to ensure on-time delivery of test article hardware, instrumentation, and GSE
  • Ensure resource and facility conflicts are resolved.

Desired:

  • M.B.A.
  • 10+ years of demonstrated ability in a Production or Test Environment
  • Direct experience with large aerospace development as a Cost Account Manager or Program Manager
  • Project Management Professional Certification (PMP)
  • Six Sigma Black Belt Certification
  • Lean Manufacturing Certifications
  • Self-starter, strong bias for action
  • Experience with Primavera (P6), MS Project, Confluence, Jira, Tableau, SQL, MySQL, Power Query, Power Pivot
