Pay: Starting at $27+ shift premium

As a fully competent Machine Technician II, you will operate blow-mold, grinders, trimmer machines, and conveyor systems. The role is responsible for troubleshooting process problems and performing minor maintenance to ensure continued operation of the production line.  Machine Technician II also follows our company's Good Manufacturing Practices.

In addition to Machine Operator responsibilities, the Machine Technician II role will include, but is not limited to the following: 

Receives instructions from the Lead Operator or Supervisor for specific job tasks and seeks assistance for unusual problems. Work is reviewed to ensure the application of sound professional judgment. Duties may vary by plant based on specific equipment and plant design.

  • Exhibits proficiency in entry-level Machine Operator skills and has the capability to instruct Level-1 Machine Operators.
  • Adheres to quality control standards and blow molding process procedures.
  • Applies mechanical expertise to troubleshoot and resolve process issues effectively.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures.
  • Performs fundamental Machine Operator tasks, including maintaining critical processing outputs such as adjusting parisons, tail adjustments, regrind levels, weight controls, and other necessary operator adjustments.
  • Operates two production lines consistently.
  • Conducts repairs or replacements of pneumatic and hydraulic lines.
  • Assists with preventive maintenance, mold changes, neck and blow pin adjustments, and other mechanical modifications.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves process issues as they arise.
  • Capable of working across multiple platforms, cross-functionally, and training entry-level Machine Operators. Can also shadow Machine Operators, depending on site-specific equipment.
  • Efficiently changes colors with minimal product loss.
  • Other Duties as assigned.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts in a production environment.  The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.  Temperatures inside the plant can fluctuate between hot and cold according to seasonal changes.  Personal protective equipment (PPE) is required in the production department and other designated areas.
